IDPA shoots are held at the Tennessee Sports Foundation range
s.
The range is located at 3583 Riverside Drive, Jackson, TN.  It is exactly 5 miles from Sadie Lou's (where Riverside Drive and Steam Mill Ferry Road cross).  Around 3 miles past Sadie Lou's, you will go under some TVA power lines.  The range is 1.9 miles after you pass under the TVA power lines.  There are 2 big radio towers on the right.  The range entrance is just below the smaller tower.  Range is on right side of road.  There is a 2 story blue house on left across from the range entrance.  The range is on a slight curve so is easy to miss.   For more directions - click here

The IDPA was organized in order to provide those persons interested in carrying a firearm for self-defense with a platform to practice the skills that are necessary in the average defensive encounter.  It is different from most of the other pistol associations in that it limits the participants' gear to that which is common to daily carry.  The point of IDPA is not to win or beat someone else, the point is to instill the traits that will help you to successfully overcome your adversaries in an armed encounter.

For an individual to participate in his / her first IDPA match, bring:
     - Eye and ear protection
     - Revolver or Pistol (9mm/.38 Special or larger)
     - Extra magazine or speed-loader
     - Holster
     - Open mind

Cost to shoot is FREE the first time, and then $5 if you are a TSF member, and $10 if your not a TSF member.  Spectators are always free.

Come on out and join us!  Shoot with us, or just watch.  Spectators are welcome.  But if you come just to watch, make sure you bring ear protection.  If you have questions, contact me.
